Looking Forward to Windows 10

After spending my workdays dealing with software and computers, the last thing I want to do is sit down in front of my own home PC. Sometimes I just need a break! But, alas, it’s unavoidable: downloading and sharing pictures of my kids, printing stuff for my kindergarten-teacher wife as she gears up for the upcoming school year, and online banking all force me to use my desktop.

In my position at Spitfire Management, I spend a lot of time at my desk working on a computer, so I relish the opportunities to do other things away from the office. I consider myself somewhat handy. I take pride in doing a good job and doing it myself. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and learning new skills.

Tech Changes Are Good Changes

ipads and floppiesWhen I was in my teens, my dad used to tell me that when he was a kid, a slice of pizza cost a nickel. I didn’t think much of it. I was getting a slice and a coke for a buck at that time. Not too bad, I thought. Things change. Now as a father myself, I understand what he was trying to tell me. Cost has certainly gone up over the years. Pizza for my sons costs quite a bit more than when I was a kid.
