We all know that keeping on top of things is critical. This is true both in our professional and personal lives. However, when certain circumstances present themselves, we are easily overwhelmed with information and the things we need to do even with the right tools at hand.
I recently moved into a new house. Now that in and of itself is a challenge even when everything goes as planned. But when do things ever go as planned? Trying to get the Internet connected at a new place and turned off at an old place is a real hassle, especially if you don’t want to pay for both at the same time. In any case, I ended up with limited access to the tools I use on a daily basis.
I immediately became aware of the value and dependence I have on good tools. I also became aware that having insufficient or inadequate tools can be just as frustrating if not more so than not using tools at all. I wanted to go back to the right tools as soon as possible.
We all need the right daily tools in order to work efficiently and to keep on top of everything. Having the right tools saves us time and frustration.
I am grateful that the Spitfire Project Management System–with its exception management tools–allows me to stay on top of my projects even in my most trying moments.
Are you using the right tools during your most stressful times?
